Movie: Grudge Match

Robert De Niro, who I think is the busiest star in Hollywood today at the age of 71, is delivering excellent performance in every movie. Sylvester Stallone, who has hardly done any comedy in his career, has tried it a bit in this movie. Both these legends have come together for this action comedy movie and director Peter Segal has done justice to both of them.
Henry ‘Razor’ Sharp (Sylvester Stallone) and Billy ‘The Kid’ McDonnen are both ex boxing champions and both are from Pittsburgh. 30 years before when Henry announced his retirement suddenly, they were biggest rivals of each other and at the peak of their careers. After that Henry is working in some private job and Billy is into hotel business. Billy always wanted to fight with Henry and take revenge by beating him in the ring. Henry on the other hand is upset with his life and doesn’t want to see Billy’s face anymore. But destiny has some other plans for Henry and he has to fight with Billy, one last time, so that he could earn some easy money. What happens next, what happens in the match, what really has happened in their pasts, is the story all about.
Other than superb performances by both lead actors, supporting actors also have done nice job. Kevin Hart as Dante Jr. and Alan Arkin as Lightning, stand out amongst others. Dialogues, situations in the movie are new, interesting and really funny. Action scenes and the final boxing match is also good to watch. Director Peter Segal has done awesome job.
Overall, this is a good light hearted comedy movie and shouldn’t be missed.

Very true! I also loved this movie. Both legends suit their parts and have done justice to their roles.
